The Estate
My 36 acre estate is located a few miles northwest of downtown Philo, in Mendocino County. I have been told by many of the long time residence, that the estate sits in the middle of Anderson Valley. It is commonplace to experience dense morning fog only to have it burn off by late morning, followed by the warm day time temperatures of the interior valley and by late afternoon you begin to feel the cooling benefits of the off shore breezes from the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean lies about 20 miles from our estate. It is this weather pattern that makes the Anderson Valley ideal for growing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and many of the Alsatian grape varieties.
