2018 was a near perfect growing season as the temperatures were cool and without major heat spikes, creating wonderfully balanced wines . Our vineyard designate 2018 Buster’s Hill Pinot Noir is a perfect expression of time and place. The grapes in this bottling are grown on a steep north-west facing vineyard section starting at 270-350 ft above the valley floor. Aged for 17 months in 100% French oak, 43% new, this wine offers a more focused and concentration finish, offering flavors of red cherry, raspberry, red plum and baking spices supported by wonderful acidity that provides flavor delineation and length. The 2018 Buster’s Hill Pinot Noir is a wine that will benefit with additional cellaring and will only improve with age and should provide a long drinking window.
